Objectives: Upon completion, learners will be able to:

  1. Discuss the etiology of IHPS.
  2. Describe the management of IHPS.

Purpose of this CE Activity: The purposes of this article are to examine the epidemiology of IHPS across various geographic areas and
populations, describe the anatomic pathology involved in IHPS, and discuss the etiology and various contributing factors such as the environment and genetic predisposition. The
changing clinical presentation of these infants is addressed and management, including non-traditional novel approaches, is also discussed.

Requirements for Completion: The following requirements are necessary for successful completion of this CNE activity.

  • Access to a computer with an Internet connection
  • Pass the posttest with a score of 80%
  • Complete and submit the evaluation for this CNE activity
