Dr. Scottoline gives you the essentials of aEEG interpretation, from elements to pattern recognition, so that you can quickly assess neurologic status, optimize care, and accurately document.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss amplitude integrated electroencephalography (aEEG).
  • Describe the utility of aEEG in the NICU, in particular with the infant diagnosed with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).
  • Describe aEEG patterns including those seen in the infant with seizures.
