Description

As neonatal providers we prescribe drugs every day. Few of these drugs have been studied in neonates, even fewer have data on long-term outcomes after their use. Most are not approved for use in neonates. Dr. Wallace discusses the issues we face in our ongoing struggle to balance priorities and be responsible prescribers.

Learning Objective:

  • Discuss the challenges associated with being a responsible prescriber for newborns.

Speaker(s):

  • Tami Wallace, DNP, APRN, NNP-BC, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and Neonatal Allied Health Provider Educator, Nationwide Children's Hospital
