Description

Dr. Perez begins discussing the belief PDA was a "causative" cause of neonatal mortality requiring immediate therapy. He then discusses the more recent data indicating the PDA is more a correlation the causation effect. Dr. Perez finishes with discussions about the current pharmacological, non-invasive approaches to close the PDA, and discusses specific clinical trials to answer the exact role of the PDA in today's NICU environment.
