Susan Kau BSN, RNC-NIC

Susan Kau has been a NICU nurse for 35 years. She was a member of the Kapi'olani Neonatal Transport team, an Advanced Care Planning Facilitator, climbed the clinical ladder to Level V, and on many hospital based committees. Susan has developed: a Neonatal seizure handout for parents, health screening for visitors, implemented PAIN tools, PAL insertion inservice, developed and co-taught the New grad and NICU-Intermediate nursery merger programs, and taught volunteer Cuddler program. Susan is a NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. instructor, and is on the ECMO team. Susan is a contributing author of The Late Preterm Infant book, and recently co-edited 2 chapters in the Comprehensive Neonatal Nursing Care textbook. Her passion is walking and creating crystal "blinging" things.
