Jae Kim is the Division Director of Neonatology in the Perinatal Institute at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati. His special areas of clinical and research discovery include neonatal nutrition, neonatal bowel injury, point-of-care ultrasound, resuscitation and the microbiome. He has extensive experience in neonatal clinical research, has managed a neonatal clinical research team in San Diego and conducted numerous clinical research projects (investigator initiated, multicenter, quality, and sponsored).
He developed and led four major clinical teams over his career, the first intestinal rehabilitation team in Canada, a human milk banking consortium in Toronto, the nationally recognized premature infant nutrition program called SPIN (Supporting Premature Infant Nutrition) and the UC Health Mothers’ Milk Bank.
