Maureen Shogan MN, RNC

Maureen Shogan is a dynamic professional nursing consultant and owns Shogan & Associates. As a NICU Level III, Clinical Nurses Specialist, she has seen the advancement of research and evolution of newborn and NICU care practices over 3 plus decades. She is currently the Clinical Director for a National Institute on Drug Abuse Phase 2 grant, developing curriculum on Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal (NOW) for mobile apps as well as a competency program on NOW for nursing staff, parents, and "cuddlers". She has experience as the NICU liaison to moms in an inpatient Substance Use Disorder Unit and seen the rise of "new drugs" used in pregnancy . She is adjunct faculty at Washington State University in Spokane, WA and enjoys facilitating student nurse growth through creative teaching.
