Objectives: Upon completion, learners will be able to:

Discuss the diagnosis of an infant who fails to pass meconium.
Outline the management of an infant with meconium plug syndrome.

Learning Outcome:

At the completion of this activity, the learner will have increased knowledge related to the differential diagnosis and management of a newborn with bilious emesis and failure to pass meconium as demonstrated by a passing grade on the posttest.
