Billie L. Short MD

Doctor Short is a Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine, and Chief of the Division of Neonatology at Children’s National Hospital. She joined the staff of Children’s Hospital in 1980, after completing her pediatric training at the University of Oklahoma and her neonatology subspecialty training at Children's National Hospital (CNH). She became Chief of the Neonatology Division in 1997, and presentaly continues her clinical and research work at CNH, leading a team of 14 neonatal-perinatal attendings, 9 neonatal-perintal fellows, along with 18 APPs. Her research and clinical work are represented by over 190 articles and book chapters in the field of neonatal-perinatal medicine.
