Objectives: Upon completion, learners will be able to:

Outline the pathophysiology of cystic fibrosis (CF).
Identify the signs and symptoms of CF.
Describe the steps in screening for and diagnosing CF.
Discuss the treatment of CF.

Learning Outcome:

At the completion of this activity, the learner will have increased knowledge regarding the pathophysiology of cystic fibrosis, its manifestations in the newborn and current diagnostics and treatment regimens as demonstrated by a passing grade on the posttest.
