Purpose of this CNE activity: The picturesque moment of happiness once a baby is born is a timeless yet modern fable of motherhood. This vision neglects the dark side of childbirth, that of postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). Maternal adaptation framework can serve as a mitigation strategy, in addition to protecting the fundamental attachment and bonding between the maternal-infant dyad.
