John D. Loyd MD, MPH

John Loyd, M.D., MPH, is the Division Chief of Neonatology at Dell’s Children Medical Center and the Ascension Seton Healthcare system. He is an associate professor of pediatrics at UT Dell Medical School and the Specialty Medical Officer for Neonatology in Texas.

Dr. Loyd earned his medical degree from the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio and his master’s in public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Wake Forest and a fellowship in neonatology at Northwestern University.

His clinical career is dedicated to the medical care of infants with complicated medical issues and advancing the care of infants through participation and leadership in statewide quality collaboratives.
