Dr. Katherine Gregory is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Boston College. She received her Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998 and Doctorate from Boston College in 2006. Dr. Gregory's clinical background is as a neonatal intensive care nurse. Her research interests pertain to disease prediction strategies, feeding, growth, and development of premature infants. She is especially interested in premature gastrointestinal health and necrotizing enterocolitis. She is currently involved with several research initiatives aimed at developing a better understanding of the pathogenesis of NEC and identifying a set of biomarkers for this devastating disease.
In addition to her role as an Assistant Professor at Boston College, Dr. Gregory is also a Nurse Scientist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in here in Boston. In this role, she collaborates with clinical staff on a variety of research initiatives and evidence based practice endeavors.
