Objectives: Upon completion, learners will be able to:

Describe causes and pathophysiology of short bowel syndrome (SBS).
Describe the medical management and surgical interventions for the SBS population.
Identify medical and surgical complications of SBS and how to manage them appropriately.

Learning Outcome: Learners will gain knowledge of the pathophysiology and exacting care of the infant with short bowel syndrome.
