Kris Karlsen PhD, APRN, NNP-BC, FAAN

Author/Founder, The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program

Dr. Karlsen is a NNP who has been involved in neonatal critical care for more than 40 years in a variety of settings, including education, transport, simulation, and patient care. She is the author and founder of The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program curriculum, and author of the S.T.A.B.L.E. - Cardiac Module and the Neonatal Physical Exam learning resource. Kris serves as the Program Director for S.T.A.B.L.E., and she recently retired from her clinical role as a cardiac team NNP at the Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital NICU in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kris is passionate about teaching and improving neonatal outcomes through education.
