State examples of evidence-based use of antibiotic use in neonates.
Discuss process changes that may improve appropriate antibiotic use.

Purpose of this CNE activity: Dr. Payton discusses NICU antibiotic stewardship including practical information on improvement successes and dilemmas encountered while implementing change. He also explores recent lessons from improvement efforts among California NICUs with a focus on issues most relevant to advanced practice neonatal nurses.
