Purpose of this CE Activity:

The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the literature addressing
concepts of antimicrobial stewardship including the core elements of an
antibiotic stewardship program developed by the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention. The urgent need for strategies for engaging bedside nurses
in antibiotic stewardship programs in the NICUs is emphasized.

Requirements for Completion: The following requirements are necessary for successful completion of this CNE activity.

Access to a computer with an Internet connection
Pass the posttest with a score of 80%
Complete and submit the evaluation for this CNE activity
