Pamela Almeida is originally from New Bedford, Massachusetts. She is a dual certified nurse practitioner in neonatal and pediatric specialties. She obtained her BSN from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, her MSN from Northeastern University as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, a post-Master’s from Maryville University as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and her PhD from University of Hawai‘i-Manoa in Biomedical Sciences. Her research focus was thermoregulation of high risk neonates.
Dr. Almeida has previously worked at Women & Infant’s Hospital, in Providence, Rhode Island and MassGeneral Hospital in Boston, in the NICU. She has developed and now oversees a Pediatric Complex Care Clinic at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu.
