Russell K. Woo MD

Russell Woo is a nationally recognized pediatric surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive surgery for infants and children. He is a graduate of the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Woo completed a residency in general surgery at Stanford University as well as research fellowships in surgical robotics and biotechnology innovation. He then completed his subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Dr. Woo has been a practicing pediatric surgeon at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu since 2009 and is an active faculty member of the Department of Surgery at the University of Hawai‘i, John A. Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Woo’s clinical interests include general and thoracic pediatric surgery, neonatal surgery, and pediatric vascular anomalies. In addition, he has an active research and teaching program aimed at developing new technologies for use in minimally invasive surgery.
