Objectives: Upon completion, learners will be able to:

Identify the incidence of neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome (NOWS).
Describe the clinical signs of NOWS.
Discuss management of a neonate with NOWS.

Purpose of this CE Activity: The purpose of this article is to discuss the use of developmental care approaches for infants with
neonatal abstinence syndrome and describe the need for more research in this area.

Pass the posttest with a score of 80%
