I have been a Nurse for 35 years, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for 19 years. I practice with a large, multi-hosptial group on the West side of Dallas-Fort Worth. My primary hospital site is a level 3, 60 bed unit that services high risk maternal-fetal medicine patients. I started in Labor and Delivery after Nursing school and originally want to be a Midwife, but life moved me into the NICU and I've never looked back. Attending deliveries is my favorite part of my job. I have had my International Board Certified Lactation Certificate (IBCLC) for the last 10 years. Improving infant nutrition in the NICU, preferably with the use of Human Milk, is forefront in my daily interaction with neonates.
