From Your NICU Pod to Our Podcast
Welcome nurses new to the NICU!
We know that the first few years working in the NICU are the most challenging. The purpose of The Nursing Report is to provide new NICU nurses an outlet to speak about their career perceptions and connect with an audience of students, colleagues, and nurse leaders. These interviews highlight the experiences of neonatal nurses new to the profession. Interviewees share why they chose nursing, their hopes, expectations, goals, and challenges.
The resources gathered here will help build confidence, expand your knowledge, and provide perspective. These conversations welcome and support entry into this wonderful occupation and validate the very time each one of us launched ourselves into this career adventure.
Meet Our Host
Maxine Ogbaa, BSN, RNC-NIC, CLC, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. When not standing up for the tiniest humans, Maxine has kneeled at the ECMO pump, sat at the Charge Nurse desk, set the PICC sterile field, and held Committee Chair. As a talented NICU nurse, Maxine found belonging with the Academy of Neonatal Nursing. For fun, she brunches and pretends to like hiking.
